Meet Jane Plain.
Throughout her life, she had always been described as average or run-of-the-mill − some might would say she was a plain jane, even.
It would seem that destiny intended for our friend Jane to lead a life of mediocrity. Everything about her was quite plain: her mousy brown hair, hair ponytail hairstyle, her dull brown eyes, her average sized figure, her clothing style, and even her last name.
But Jane has other plans.
Jane Plain is determined to live a life anything but plain. Jane wants to be remembered; Jane wants to leave her mark on the world; Jane wants to be the start of a great legacy.
And Jane intends to do just that by buying the biggest plot of land in all of Sunset Valley, meet the man of her dreams, and create a foundation for their offspring and future descendants.
Jane's escape from the ordinary begins on 15 Summer Hill Court with a cheap twin bed and a single wall separating the toilet and the shower. She spends the last of her money on a guitar.
Jane takes a cab to the park and whips out her guitar. Jane has the 'loves the outdoors' and the 'virtuoso' traits, so this is right up her alley. Her lifetime wish is Master of the Arts, and if she wants to go down in history, she might as well get a head start.
It doesn't take long before she has a fan base crowding around her. Some are tapping their feet, some are dancing, and some are just listening, but everyone is taking notice of the ordinary girl with extraordinary talent. The prospects are looking in Jane's favor. She can't help but smile just a bit at the thought of it.
Having spent all her money on a massive plot of land, a refrigerator and stove is out of the question. Jane has to make do with stealing other people's food. She spots an abandoned picnic basket and gets to grubbing, enjoying what seems to be a delicious hotdog. It's getting dark out, and she decides to call it a day after her feast.
Before putting an end to her day, Jane stares up at the open sky above her bed. She remembers reading that the stars are always visible at night in Sunset Valley, and her meager home provides the most spectacular view. She could get used to this.
Content with the beginning of her self-made destiny, Jane shuts her eyes and welcomes sleep. Tonight, and for many nights after, she sleeps among the stars.
